Noctívago is a desktop ambient sound mixer — think rain, wind, fire, crowd noise, drones — for sleep, focus, or building a soundscape for a game/stream/writing session. Inspired by Blanket (https://github.com/rafaelmardojai/blanket, Linux-only, which is why this exists on Windows), but grown well past a simple mixer:

  • Per-sound editing (Remix tab): trim, highpass/lowpass/gain, a 7-band parametric EQ, echo, real convolution reverb, noise gate, noise reduction, Doppler pass-by effect, speed/pitch/reverse, and slow random volume/pitch "Fluctuation" drift — all with live preview.
  • Three ways a sound can play: loop, Random Interval ("scatter" — replays at randomized gaps with randomized pitch), or Scheduled (wall-clock times, like an hourly chime).
  • Sound Groups — route a subset of a preset's sounds through their own shared EQ/reverb bus (e.g. "outside" sounds vs. "inside" sounds).
  •  Export a whole mix to a single audio file (or a video with a waveform/spectrum visualization, a looped image, or your own background video) — for uploading a finished ambience elsewhere.
  • Sleep timer with stop / turn off displays (keep playing) / sleep / shutdown.
  • A small plugin architecture — Remix itself is a plugin, more can be added.
  • Watch-folder auto-import, drag-in folders as presets/tags, portable preset sharing, in-app auto-update.

No bundled sounds, no AI in the app, nothing to worry about there — Noctívago is just a tool. It ships with zero audio files of its own; you bring whatever  files you want (your own, downloaded files or a preset someone else already put together and shared), and the app is what lets you shape, loop, and mix them into an ambience. Fully local too: no cloud processing, no account, nothing leaves your machine unless you choose to export and share it.

This is an early/prototype build, testing whether there's real interest before investing in polish (icon, branding, docs). Rough edges are expected — that's exactly what feedback here helps find.

⚠️ Windows will show a SmartScreen warning ("Windows protected your PC") Because the installer isn't code-signed yet. Click "More info" → "Run anyway." This is a cost thing, not a red flag — happens to every indie Windows app without a paid certificate.

Here's a public VirusTotal scan of the exact installer file if you wanna take a look, checked against ~70 antivirus engines: https://www.virustotal.com/gui/file/90d313087bb0e979065e837ea9e374faaf9fd36210e9...

Noctívago is open source (Apache License 2.0): https://github.com/Venari-Hunt/Noctivago — the full source is public if you'd rather build it yourself or just look under the hood. Downloading here is just the easy way to get a ready-to-run build without doing that.

Feedback, bug reports, and "I wish it did X" are all very welcome in the comments.
